Victoria Azarenka is arguably one of the world’s best Tennis players of all time. Born in 1989, Azarenka has managed to make a huge impact in her sport, so that at the age of 20, she is ranked as the world’s sixth best player.
Her nationality is Belarusian, and she is probably the best known Belarusian sports-person; or indeed the best known Belarusian in all aspects. She doesn’t, however reside in her country of birth: for she has made a base for herself in the American state of Arizona.
In a relatively short playing career, Azaranka has managed to make quite a fortune: with her total prize money standing at above $3 million.
Azarenka plays with her right hand, and her height, at almost 6 foot (she is 5’ 11’’) puts her at considerable advantage, as does her obvious ability to focus on the ball at almost all times.
Her age also means that she is likely to soon or later clinch the world’s best position in her sport. This becomes more of a possibility when you take into consideration the fact that there doesn’t seem to be much of a serious competition (to her at least) in her age group, with the possible exception of Bovina. The other players ahead of her in the rankings are also well-ahead of her in age, meaning that they are likely to soon or later retire: leaving her to rule the courts.
